This week an agreement had been made between the two telecommunication giants, Vodafone and O2, to share their mobile networks in hope of providing better mobile broadband coverage and cheaper costs. According to Guardian, this partnership is considered as one of the biggest shake-up in the UK’s mobile phone industry to date, which will transformed the UK five biggest mobile phone providers into two single networks.

Current Vodafone network partner, Orange, would be affected by the venture as well. They are currently plan to join 3 and T-Mobile network sharing venture. Under those agreements, all five mobile providers will still be trading under their own brand, but with partnership networks will allow them to expand mobile broadband coverage into more rural areas, specially in some parts of Wale and Scotland.
