sony ericsson w995 mobile phone

This post is the continuation from Sony Ericsson W995 Review – Part 1

Sony Ericsson’s MediaGo™ enables you to automatically convert files from your computer when downloading to the player. The PlayNow™ store offers a great deal of new material including videos, movies and more music than before. With social networking continuing to increase the inclusion of Facebook on the home screen is very welcome. Being able to watch YouTube videos is good as well along with BBC iPlayer and Sky Player.

The motion sensor enables the portrait function on your screen as well as makes it able to play motion sensitive games available for download from many sources including many 3D games. The GPS receiver when combined with Google Maps and the Wayfinder navigation software included means you can add geo-tags to photos and actually map your location in real time.

The existing memory is sufficient for 30 to 50 music tracks and can be expanded by adding up to a 16 MB SD card.

The W995 works on any 3G network or quad band GSM so it is a true worldwide phone. Supporting HSDPA you will get extremely fast data transfer and will operate in WiFi mode as well. You can also connect to the device via USB connection or Bluetooth.

Battery life is average for a Walkman device. The W995 has a great deal of functionality for the price. It is free on many mid range plans but has more features you would find on a higher level device with 3G access. The first user reviews have been very positive so we expect great things from the W995.
