WRITE A REVIEW ON SAMSUNG TOCCO F480
Are you a long time user of Samsung products? If so, then you may remember seeing the Samsung Tocco F480 as a TouchWiz. Samsung choose to keep the F480 name to use it with their new software interface and picked out the name Tocco. In Italian, tocco means “touch”. It may not be unique but it is much better than the original name. This version of Samsung derived from the Armani and F700 models and is now a touchscreen handset.
As Samsung was redesigning and renaming the Tocco F480, its appearance is not as different as before the change. For instance, it has a 2.8-inch screen with a 240 by 320 pixel screen. The call end/send buttons are below the rocker bar. Flip the phone to the back and you have either one of two backs: aluminum style battery cover or leather flap that will also protect the screen. The Tocco F480 phone is just 11 millimeters thick, weighing only 100 grams. This makes the Samsung Tocco F480 is quite compact for a mobile phone.
There is much about the Tocco F480 phone that you’re going to fall in love with. For starters, it’s not like the Armani Croix interface. Actually, the best way to describe it… it’s a kaleidoscope of colors. For instance, you have a grid of icons that you can select each feature with a finger. You’re then given a short buzz from the feedback vibration, all clear and responsive.
There is a vast array of animations on the phone including the ability to zoom in and zoom out of menus. These animations help to bring your Samsung Tocco F480 alive. You’ll also find widgets on the main screen, along with a music player, clock and wallpaper selector. Anytime you want to use these devices, you can drag them to your main screen.
There are a multitude of features that will bring the Samsung Tocco F480 up high in must have mobile phones. For instance, it’s outfitted with a five-megapixel camera, complete with an autofocus, LED flash as well as face and smile recognition. It’s also a 3G handset with the HSDPA support with a front mounted camera lens that allows for video calling. The GPRS and EDGE are installed to back up this feature. You also have the option to listen to FM RDS radio along with other media functions.
With so many positive aspects of the Samsung Tocco F480, you probably think there’s nothing wrong with the phone. In actuality, there are two drawbacks on the phone. What are they?
- First, the web browser isn’t very perceptive and lacks some features that allow it to be a great mobile Internet device despite the great HSDPA 3G fast connection that comes with the phone.
- Secondly, there is no virtual keyboard on the Samsung Tocco F480 phone. Instead, there’s the original T9 alphanumeric keypad. No doubt, this is not acceptable when trying to type in the URLs or typing out an email.
If you want a phone for the web use, then you’re going to choose something other than the Samsung Tocco F480. However, if you want a phone that allows you a great camera and is rather good looking, then try the new Samsung Tocco F480 mobile phone.
